The Lusail Marina walkway and its annexes, the Crescent Park and the Marina Food Arena, will reopen to the public on July 1, the Qatari Diar real estate development company has said in a tweet.
However, the company called on the public to take precautions against the COVID-19 while they are out at the walkway, the park and the arena.
The opening will coincide with the start of the second phase of easing COVID-19 restrictions. Earlier in the day, the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) said that gates 3, 4, 5 at the Katara Beach will also reopen on July 1.
Earlier this month, Qatar announced a four-phase plan to lift curbs it has imposed to contain the spread of coronavirus. The first phase began on June 15, when some mosques, stores and medical facilities were allowed to open at limited capacity.
The second phase of easing the lockdown would start on July 1, the third on August 1 and the fourth on September 1. The second phase will allow a partial opening of restaurants at limited capacity and malls for limited capacity and hours. During this phase, museums, libraries, markets and wholesale markets will also be open at limited capacity and during specific hours.
