Qatari Champion Samba: Athletes Suffer Difficulty During Training Because of Coronavirus Spread
Qatari champion Abdulrahman Samba has confirmed that all athletes had suffered from great difficulty during training in the past period, amid the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19) all over the world.
Samba added in a press statement today, to the “Live with Al Adaam ” program, through Qatar Olympic Committee’s account on Instagram, that with the gradual lifting of restrictions, he began to return to exercises almost naturally in preparation for the upcoming championships .
On the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics, Samba said that the delay was excellent for him because of his recent injury.
Samba said that he would not forget the moments when he received direct congratulations from HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) at the Khalifa International Stadium, after receiving the bronze medal of the 400 meters hurdles in the World Athletics Championships held in Doha.
On the Qatari Olympic champion Moataz Barshim the owner of the achievements in the high jump competition, Samba said that “Moataz Barshim always gives us hope, patience and professionalism thanks to his great aspirations , and I learned a lot from him.”
