April 19, 2023, Doha. The Philippine Ambassador to Qatar – H.E. Lilibeth V. Pono paid a visit to Filipino Hot Pack restaurant in Doha to express gratitude to its Filipino owner – Ms. Belle Castro Modin, for participating in the yearly gourmet event – a month-long celebration of Filipino cuisine in Doha which kicked-off on April 1.
The restaurant featured many diverse Filipino foods including Beef Crispy Pata, Caldereta, Street Food Bilao, Isaw, Kinilaw, Chopseuy, Pancit, Gotong Batangas, and a winnowing basket of assorted Filipino sweets (kakanin). The lady Ambassador and other Philippine Embassy officials, TFC Global and Qabayan Radio team undoubtedly enjoyed the tantalizing treats offered by Qatar’s top-rated Filipino restaurant – Filipino Hot Pack.
Ambassador Pono urged the Filipino community in Qatar to be involved in this program and invite their non-Filipino friends to partake in this culinary adventure to enjoy distinctive flavors of the Philippines.
